If You Are Very Unwell – A&E or 999
Please Attend a Major A&E Department for the Following
- A feverish and lethargic/drowsy child
- A feverish and floppy or unresponsive infant
- Difficulty Breathing
- Sudden and severe abdominal pain
- Accidental or intentional overdose of medication
- Trauma including falls and broken Bones
Ring 999 for these Life Threatening Conditions
- Chest pain/tightness/heaviness (suspected heart attack)
- Suspected Stroke
Act FAST and call 999
Facial weakness, arm weakness, speech problems. Time to call 999.
- Suspected Meningitis
- Anaphylactic Shock (Severe Allergy)
- Heavy Bleeding or deep lacerations
- Fluctuating level of consciousness or if completely unconscious
- Difficulty breathing or if stopped breathing
- Seizure / fit
